Art of the Trade Art of the Trade Dynasty Football
This past August, my boss took my coworkers and me on a camping ground retreat. We headed upward to the mountains of Due north Carolina, just beyond Boone, for rest, relaxation, and team bonding.
On our first afternoon at the site, we heard from other campers nearly an awesome set of waterfalls just a short hike away. So, we packed up, drove equally far every bit we could in the Jeep, and then hopped out to hike what they had told u.s. was a brusque distance. In reality, this was true. Yeah, there are times in-flavor when you are making a push for a championship that you make a one-for-i trade or even combine multiple of your own assets to go after a positional upgrade. But, I believe those should be the exception and not the rule. Instead, I desire to become after the value, building it throughout my team. Example

So, I anticipate Moore's value being considerably higher at this betoken adjacent year, and thus I would be missing out on value.
That leaves Hill and Jefferson. Each of these players is valued extremely high, but between the 2 of them, I am trading Jefferson. Why? Already valued at a consensus top five dynasty WR (if not college), Jefferson appears set for a long successful career, simply three factors should be considered.
- Because of how incredible Jefferson played as a rookie, his value has nowhere to go but downward.
- Considering of his historic period, people are willing to pay a premium for Jefferson with no remorse or worry of him declining someday soon.
- Immature breakout WRs sometimes continue (AJ Brown), just frequently their careers practise not match the post-breakout yr hype (OBJ, Juju).
Identify Value at Your Position of Need
And so, if Jefferson is who we are going to trade, who should we target? Should we become to the Dalvin Cook or Saquon Barkley possessor and effort to trade i-for-i? No! We're going to pour Justin Jefferson into more than one asset of value. First, we take a look and what running backs nosotros believe to exist values currently. For the sake of our example:

- Joe Mixon*

Upon closer examination, the Joe Mixon director needs a wide receiver and owns the 2021 Rookie 1.03. We offer Justin Jefferson for Mixon, 1.03 and their '22 1st, and they counter Mixon, one.03, Curtis Samuel, and we take.
Now, we have added a running dorsum and still have a solid WR room, we tin can use our 1.03 and move on, or we can continue to cascade our trade. We lost Justin Jefferson, a young promising receiver, and so nosotros're going to use that 1.03 to not just keep edifice value simply to attempt and fill that gap too. As we have cascaded this trade, we started with a running back needy team and sent Justin Jefferson abroad for:
- Joe Mixon
- Jerry Jeudy
- Curtis Samuel
- 2021 Rookie 1.10
This has kept our receiver room young, just now we accept room to accumulate value. It gives us a shot at some other immature piece through merchandise or the draft, and nosotros filled a pigsty at running back with Joe Mixon.
Questions to Consider

- If this bargain gets done, do I have a clear path forward to continue cascading a building value?
Cascading trades is not easy; y'all volition hear "no" more than y'all hear "yep," but over time, deals similar this will aid you accumulate value, abound your team, and win dynasty fantasy football game championships!
